According to the Central Bank, insurance companies in Dagestan earn less than they pay out in claims. Claims payments exceeded insurance premium income by RUB 825 million. This was the largest deficit of any region in the country. Moreover, the average payment for an insured accident in Dagestan increased by 26.8% last year - to 112.2 thousand RUB.
