The development of tourism infrastructure in the Northern Caucasus is a priority area of activity. Under the soft loan program, 20 major hotels are under construction. These hotels will offer a combined total of 4,600 rooms. According to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, 24 applications for the construction of an additional 3.5 thousand rooms have been received in the new selection phase.

The Glavryba Eco-Tour Complex in Dagestan stands as one of the good examples of successful implementation of the Tourism and Hospitality federal target project. The Salatau Park Hotel with 52 guest rooms has recently been put into operation due to state funding support amounting to RUB 77 million. The complex also features children's play areas and an information Centre. Over the course of the past two years, more than RUB 100 million were invested into the project.

All these initiatives are designed to enhance the touristic appeal of the region and to provide an optimal environment for leisure activities.
