Dagestan recorded a remarkable increase in vegetable production in 2024, with a total harvest of 1.47 million tons, representing a 14% rise compared to the previous year. This growth can be attributed to a surge in agricultural output. Specifically, the potato harvest amounted to 367 thousand tons, while melon production reached 200 thousand tons.

The grain harvest also demonstrated a significant increase, rising by 3.7% to surpass 503 thousand tons. A particularly noteworthy achievement was the record-breaking rice harvest, exceeding 159 thousand tons from a cultivated area of 34.7 thousand ha. The overall cultivated land in the republic expanded to 362 thousand ha.
