The annual commemorative event "St. George's Ribbon", dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, has started in Dagestan, as reported by the Youth Ministry of the Republic. The event is part of a republican "memory watch" that took place in Lenin Komsomol Park two weeks ago (April 25-May 9). For this period, volunteers will be distributing the symbol - St. George's ribbon - to everyone and telling about its history.

" The colors of the St. George ribbon have become a well-recognized symbol of military prowess and glory in Russia. It is important for us to preserve the memory of the heroic actions of our soldiers and defenders" - the Youth Affairs Minister Kamil Saidov said commenting on the event.
