Dagestan leads in number of unemployed among Russia’s regions

The analytical agency PromRating has released data from the Federal State Statistics Service indicating that Dagestan emerged as the region with the highest number of unemployed individuals aged 15 or older in the fourth quarter of 2024. The republic recorded a total of 175,857 unemployed residents.
In the second place, Moscow region was home to 75,088 unemployed individuals, while the third position was occupied by the Republic of Ingushetia with 68,311 unemployed. Additionally, Moscow (64,470 unemployed) and Krasnodar Krai (56,991 unemployed) were among the top five regions experiencing high levels of unemployment.
