Dagestan is hosting the Wild Trail Race, an event organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts of the Republic of Dagestan in collaboration with the Wild Trail team. This is the fifth year that the mass mountain race has been held in Dagestan, and this year, more than 2,500 people from 30 different regions of the country have already registered to participate.

Participants will run four different distances of their choosing - 15 kilometers, 35 kilometers, 65 kilometers, and 120 kilometers - through various mountainous regions such as Lak, Gunib, Levashi, and Untsukul. The finish line for all distances is located in Shamilkala, a settlement in the Untsukulsky Municipal District.

Apart from the race, participants and guests will enjoy a variety of cultural activities, including master classes in local folk crafts, performances by a tightrope walker and the dance ensemble “Dagestan”. Those interested can also learn archery and participate in archery competitions. All the winners will receive cash prizes.
