MAKHACHKALA, May 12 – RIA "Dagestan". The Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate for the Republic of Dagestan (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance across Dagestan) has ensured the uninterrupted export of nearly 14,000 tons of grain products from Makhachkala Commercial Seaport to Iran.
From May 1 to 6, 2026, specialists supervised the shipment of 11,000 tons of corn for feed purposes and 2,800 tons of food-grade soybeans. The cargo arrived at the port from Kabardino-Balkaria Republic, North Ossetia–Alania, Karachay-Cherkessia and other regions of Russia.
Documentary checks and inspections revealed no violations, and the grain fumigation fully complied with Iran's phytosanitary requirements. Based on conclusions from the Dagestan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIKR" and laboratory research protocols, Rosselkhoznadzor issued phytosanitary certificates for six vessel shipments, confirming the product quality for the Iranian market.
