MAKHACHKALA, June 25 – RIA "Dagestan". A Dagestani delegation led by Acting Deputy Prime Minister Rizvan Gazimagomedov took part in the IV meeting of the Bilateral Commission for the Coordination of Cooperation between the Republic of Dagestan and the Republic of Belarus. During the meeting, the parties identified new areas of joint work and formalized the agreements reached.
Dagestani delegation included Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Nizam Khalilov, Acting Minister of Agriculture Shamil Ramazanov, Mayor of Makhachkala Dzhambulat Salavov, as well as the heads of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Badrutin Magomedov and the republic's Export Support Center Ruslan Abaskuliev. Belarusian side at the negotiations was represented by Inessa Korotkevich, Chairperson of the Board of Belkoopsoyuz.
Dagestan's exports to Belarus have almost doubled in the past two years. In 2025 alone, Dagestani company "Kavkazkaya Sherst" LLC shipped more than 300 tons of wool valued at over RUB 18.5 million and signed a cooperation agreement with "KAMVOL" OJSC. The republic scales up deliveries of wool, apples and other agricultural goods, with sheet glass, rice and canned products planned for the future. The parties also discussed setting up a Minsk Tractor Works dealership centre in Dagestan, fostering industrial cooperation and leveraging the "North–South" international transport corridor to boost mutual trade.
The key achievement of the meeting was the adoption of the Commission's Protocol along with several major agreements. Notably, these include the establishment of a joint Belarusian-Dagestani enterprise to build a large greenhouse complex valued at 530 million rubles, as well as supply agreements for "Kikuni" juice products and goods from OOO "POSH." The reached agreements are designed to further strengthen trade and economic relations, boost mutual trade turnover, foster industrial cooperation, and execute joint projects in priority economic sectors.
