MAKHACHKALA, June 16 – RIA Dagestan. Acting Dagestani Minister of Industry and Trade Nizam Khalilov briefed the Government of the Republic of Dagestan on the progress of investment projects in the industrial sector. As to Prime Minister Magomed Ramazanov, the republican investment project register currently lists seven large industrial projects with a total investment of RUB 20.3 billion. Among the three projects due for completion in 2026 is the "Organization of the production of soft-coated sheet glass" by LLC "Salavatsteklo Caspian," which involves creating a vacuum sputtering line with a yearly capacity of up to 12 million square meters. To date, RUB 1.9 billion of the allocated RUB 2.049 billion have been disbursed and 34 new jobs have been established. Commissioning is underway and the production line is scheduled to go into operation in July 2026.
The second project involves completing the construction of a universal storage facility for food and non-food goods in Makhachkala, now in its second stage. The e-commerce warehouse complex covers 125,000 square meters and involves a total investment of 9.6 billion rubles. It will provide 1,500 new jobs; currently, 525 positions are in place, including 300 permanent roles. Work continues on technical support and automation, and the project is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The third project, led by "Caspian Fiberglass Plant" LLC focuses on launching the production of import-substituting E-grade glass fibers and textile materials, including ultra-fine twisted E-grade yarn. A total of RUB 1.4 billion is being invested and 100 positions are planned. All the complex equipment from China and the full range of auxiliary systems have been delivered to the site and installation is currently ongoing. The project is expected to be completed by late 2026.
