MAKHACHKALA, July 1 – RIA "Dagestan". In the first five months of 2026, Dagestan's agricultural exports amounted to $28 million, the republican Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports. Ministry representatives participated in a video conference of the Russian State Council Commission on Agriculture, chaired by Deputy Agriculture Minister Maxim Borovoy.
The meeting's principal subject was the achievement of the regional "Export of Agricultural Products" project goals: consistently raising export volumes and foreign currency receipts, and widening the range of destinations for agricultural and agro-industrial products from the republic.
Dagestan has diversified its trade ties with friendly nations, with exports now reaching Iran, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries. The republic aims to continue widening its export geography and is focused on exporting traditional Dagestani products—urbech, juices, meat products and mineral water—to Oman and the UAE.
