MOSCOW, April 13 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan was the only region in the North Caucasus Federal District to experience an increase in the number of entrepreneurs receiving state support in 2025 — up by 3% — according to a study by the Rodionoff Group.
This growth happened even as the district as a whole saw a 42% decline and the country as a whole recorded a 19% drop. The estimated amount of financial support provided to Dagestani entrepreneurs reached RUB 476 million, an increase of 18.6% compared to the previous year.
A key reason cited is the "de-shadowing" (formalization) of the business sector: the number of individual entrepreneurs grew by 29% and the number of self-employed individuals rose by 22%, with nearly half of them under 36 years old.
Additionally, Dagestan was chosen as one of four pilot regions for a support program aimed at special military operation participants and their families. Thanks to these developments, the republic moved up from 61st to 47th place in the ranking of Russian regions.
