MAKHACHKALA, May 31 – RIA Dagestan. Makhachkala-based architectural bureau "Godekan" has claimed victory in the special project "NEXT" at the XXXI International Exhibition-Forum of Architecture and Design "ARCH MOSCOW-2026."
The "NEXT" project at ARCH MOSCOW has selected the Dagestani bureau as Russia's leading young architectural practice, granting it a solo exhibition at the 2027 forum dedicated to forward-looking design concepts.
Curated by Amir Idiatulin and themed "Architectural Utopia: In Search of the Ideal" the 2026 competition drew 40 submissions from across Russia, with the Dagestani team "Godekan" winning finalist status for its visionary project on the republic's development and cultural identity.
By presenting a cohesive vision of Dagestan's future rooted in architectural design, cultural values, and territorial identity, "Godekan" won the jury's recognition, gaining both prestige and an opportunity to highlight the region's architectural potential at a key national event.
"For us, this victory confirms that the conversation about Dagestan's future—its architecture, identity and potential—is important far beyond the region today. "ARCH MOSCOW" is Russia's largest international architecture and design exhibition-forum, annually gathering architects, developers, urban planners, government representatives, material manufacturers and professionals from across the country.
