AKHVAKHSKY DISTRICT, September 11 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani beekeeper Magomedkasum Salimov operates nomadic apiaries across six districts to produce a diverse range of monofloral and polyfloral honey.
Leveraging state agricultural support, his farm tracks the active flowering phases of honey plants, starting in spring across Botlikhsky, Buynaksky, Khasavyurtovsky, Kizlyarsky and Nogaysky districts to harvest nectar from acacia, spurge and Russian olive.
The hives are then relocated to the high-altitude Kulinsky District for subalpine herbs before finishing the cycle in Termenlik area of Buynaksky District to build winter food reserves.
Salimov emphasizes that this mobile approach ensures bees forage in ideal ecological conditions, allowing the pristine natural benefits of the honey to reach consumers.
