MAKHACHKALA, April 9 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan industrial production index for the first two months of 2026 stood at 106.3 percent, driven primarily by growth in the energy sector and manufacturing.

- Manufacturing hit 105.5 percent, up sharply from 57.7 percent in 2025
- Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning reached 116.2 percent, compared to 95.1 percent the previous year
- Water supply, wastewater management, and waste disposal came in at 86.1 percent, up from 72.5 percent in 2025
The industrial uptick also boosts household incomes. Average monthly wages at large and medium-sized enterprises in January 2026 made RUB 65,456—a 22.7 percent increase year-over-year. Employment in the sector rose to 26,926 people, a 0.6 percent gain.
