MAKHACHKALA, March 17 – RIA Dagestan. A comprehensive territory development project has been announced for the Hippodrome microdistrict of Makhachkala. According to Shamil Mirzakhanov, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of Dagestan, total investment for project implementation is projected at RUB 34.3 billion.
The designated development area covers 21.6 hectares. Project components include construction of engineering infrastructure valued at RUB 2.774 billion, as well as landscaping and site improvement works estimated at approximately RUB 469 million. Tax and non-tax revenues to budgets at various levels are projected at 3.2 billion rubles. Additionally, assets valued at no less than RUB 494 million are designated for transfer to the republic.
The first phase of the project includes construction of a residential complex comprising 11 building entrances with a total floor area of approximately 55,000 square meters. According to available information, the developer has completed design documentation for a kindergarten with a capacity of 250 children, while design work for apartment buildings remains in progress.
Construction activities are scheduled to commence in October–November 2026, with commissioning of the first phase anticipated in the second quarter of 2030. The full implementation timeline for the entire project is estimated at 10 years.
