Makhachkala Port Cargo Turnover Grows by 50% in First Half of 2026

MAKHACHKALA, July 3 – RIA "Dagestan". The volume of cargo transshipment at Makhachkala seaport for January–June 2026 amounted to 2.11 million tons. This is 50% higher than the same indicator for 2025.

Overall, the growth in cargo transshipment amounted to 711 thousand tons.

"The increase in cargo turnover was mainly ensured by the growth in liquid cargo transshipment up to 1 million 568.9 thousand tons, as well as an increase in grain exports to 221.7 thousand tons, compared to 36.2 thousand tons (a 6.1-fold increase) for the same period last year" the press service reports.
