MAKHACHKALA, March 11 – RIA "Dagestan". Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Rosmorport" has leased territories in Iranian ports of Amirabad and Chabahar to facilitate container transportation within the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). The announcement was made by Andrey Tarasenko, Head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport, during his visit to Dagestan.
According to Tarasenko, regular shipping services are planned between these hubs to activate the promising "India – Iran – Russia" logistics route. Representatives of the Makhachkala Sea Commercial Port expressed readiness to explore new cargo flows and logistics directions within this expanded corridor framework, potentially enhancing Dagestan's role as a key node in Eurasian transport connectivity.
