KASPIYSK, October 1 – RIA "Dagestan". The IV Agro-Industrial Forum "DagAgroCaspian" was held over two days at the Aliyev Sports and Youth Palace in Kaspiysk, gathering agrarians, experts and manufacturers from Russia and abroad. Key officials, including Acting Minister of Agriculture Ivan Golub and industry leaders Alexey Sitnikov and Arsen Dzhamalutdinov, discussed technological integration and evaluated new agricultural developments, with Sitnikov highlighting Dagestan's potential to become a major Russian hub for greenhouse tomato and flower production.
The exhibition featured over 100 companies from Russia, China, India, Turkey and Belarus, showcasing farming machinery, greenhouse equipment, irrigation systems, seeds and plant protection products, alongside local product tastings like "AliYak" cheeses.
The event also hosted students from regional agrarian institutions and featured a comprehensive business program with round tables on greenhouse cultivation, phytosanitary security, agricultural cooperation, meat and dairy processing, horticultural innovations and agro-logistics.
As to the First Deputy Minister Sharip Sharipov, the event successfully reinforced its role as a vital platform for strengthening business ties and modernizing Dagestan's agro-industrial complex.
