MAKHACHKALA, September 25 – RIA Dagestan. During the first eight months of 2026, Sberbank facilitated over RUB 20.6 billion in mortgage lending across the Northern Caucasus, with state-subsidized programs acting as the primary catalyst for roughly 70 percent of all transactions.
Monetary lending was heavily concentrated in Dagestan and North Ossetia-Alania, which jointly generated RUB 10.8 billion, while the Chechen Republic set a quantitative record by processing nearly 2,200 individual agreements. The highly popular Family Mortgage program saw an 18.6 percent year-over-year surge in lending volume to hit RUB 14 billion, leaving other specialized initiatives like the Far Eastern Mortgage far behind in total market share.
At the local level in Kabardino-Balkaria, branch head Zalina Beituganova reported 1,145 issued loans totaling RUB 3.7 billion, praising the sustained demand for family-oriented subsidies and the promising early adoption of IT-specific housing loans.
