MAKHACHKALA, June 23 – RIA "Dagestan". From June 1 to 22, 2026, the Directorate of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) across the Republic of Dagestan oversaw the export of grain products from Makhachkala Sea Commercial Port. A total of 32,300 tons of corn and 4,300 tons of feed barley were shipped to foreign markets. The main recipient countries are Iran and Afghanistan.
Grain was delivered to Makhachkala port from Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia, Karachay-Cherkessia and other Russian regions. No breaches were found during document verification and physical inspection of the cargo. All shipments were disinfected in full compliance with the phytosanitary regulations of the destination countries.
According to the agency’s press office, a total of 326,800 tons of grain have been shipped from the port under the directorate's oversight since the start of 2026.
