Power Outages in Dagestan Drop by 7.5% on Average

Dagestan has recorded a significant decline in emergency power outages compared to 2024, Magomedshapi Shapiev, Acting Director of the Dagestan Branch of PJSC “Rosseti Severny Kavkaz” (“Dagenergo”) said during a press conference at TASS-Kavkaz. According to Shapiev, emergency outages in 6 kV and higher voltage networks decreased by 8.6%, while those on high-voltage lines (110 kV and above) dropped by 7%.

Customers experienced improved reliability through fewer outages and significantly faster restoration times, with the average downtime reduced by 28.9%. Shapiev attributed these improvements to comprehensive upgrades of power supply centers, the commissioning of new transformers with a total capacity of 145 MVA, and the deployment of advanced monitoring and rapid-response systems for outage management.
