MAKHACHKALA, May 20 – RIA Dagestan. On May 23, Dagestan will host the official launch of a new production facility for sheet glass featuring a unique coating. The project, valued at RUB 2.4 billion was initiated by the Salavatsteklo Kaspiy plant.
With active support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Dagestan, the enterprise secured a preferential loan of RUB 940 million through the Federal Fund for Industrial Development.
The new production line will enable the manufacturing of glass with solar-control, low-emission and multifunctional coatings. In the future, products from the new line are expected to account for over 30% of the plant's total output. The planned capacity of the new line ranges from 10 to 12 million square meters of glass per year. This output level will allow the enterprise to compete effectively with imported alternatives. The project will create 34 new permanent, high-productivity jobs at the facility.
