MAKHACHKALA, April 7 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan State Puppet Theater has won two awards at the 26th International Festival of Professional Puppet Theaters "LutFest" in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The theater took home honors for "Best Ensemble" and "Best Interpretation of a Classical Work" for its production of "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale.
The festival jury praised the show's scenography, musical score and the ensemble's cohesive performance. Festival director Vitomir Mitric said Dagestani troupe enriched the festival program for two years running and expressed hope that the theater would continue to participate in upcoming events.
