MOSCOW, August 6 – RIA "Dagestan". E.Kapiev Lak State Music and Drama Theater represented Dagestan at the All-Russian Marathon-Festival "Russia — Theater — Society". The large-scale cultural event, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation, is taking place in Moscow "Zaryadye" Park.
Representatives of Dagestan have been selected to begin the creative segment featuring top professional theaters from the North Caucasian Federal District.
The artists of the national theater presented a fragment from the play "The Taming of the Shrew" based on the classic play by William Shakespeare to Muscovites and guests of the capital.
The stage director of the performance is People's Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania and Kabardino-Balkaria Givi Valiev. T
he marathon-festival in "Zaryadye" brought together academic, musical and drama collectives of the country on one stage. Through its presentation, the Lak Theater demonstrated the professional standards, cultural heritage and creative distinctiveness of Dagestani theater to a wide public.
