MAKHACHKALA, April 11 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov met with about 30 major building materials producers, urging them not to hike prices while residents rebuild their flood-damaged homes.
The industry representatives backed the appeal unanimously and offered to provide discounts to affected citizens. Some companies have already sent humanitarian aid, including generators, pumps and heavy equipment for clearing river channels.
The meeting also proposed creating a registry of suppliers from other regions and asking them to keep prices stable. An interdepartmental working group was formed afterward to monitor the construction materials market. It includes officials from government agencies, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Builders' Guild, local authorities and major industry dealers.
