Dagestan Export Council Reviews Regional Export Standard 3.0 Implementation and 2025 Results

MAKHACHKALA, March 31 – RIA Dagestan. Rizvan Gazimagomedov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan, led a meeting of the Export Council under the Head of the Republic. The agenda focused on the implementation of the new Regional Export Standard 3.0, broadening the export destinations for Dagestani products, and providing support measures for export-oriented businesses.

According to the vice-premier, activities are carried out as part of the “International Cooperation and Export” target project. The central element is the Regional Export Standard 3.0, which consists of 15 practical tools designed to create favorable business conditions while considering regional characteristics.

Reporting on export results, Gadzhi Sultanov, Economic Development Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, stated that in 2025, Dagestan maintained trade relations with 56 countries, with main partners including Iran, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and China.

The export remains largely focused on non-resource and non-energy goods. Compared to the previous year, shipments of cereal crops, especially wheat and barley, have increased. By the end of 2025, 14 of the 15 tools of the Standard have been implemented in Dagestan, surpassing the planned target of 13.

In 2026, the republic will continue implementing the program for developing foreign economic relations. Plans include business missions and participation of Dagestani enterprises in international exhibitions. Sultanov encouraged entrepreneurs to actively participate in planning these visits.

Participants also discussed challenges faced by exporters and reviewed support tools offered by the Russian Export Center, aimed at facilitating access to foreign markets and reducing risks for small and medium-sized enterprises.
