The Head of the Republic, Sergei Melikov, has announced that the development of a contemporary seaside resort on the Caspian Sea coast in Dagestan is advancing according to schedule.
Construction of all facilities for the tourist complex is projected to be finalized by 2032 at the latest. This resort, known as the Caspian Coastal Cluster, is part of the national initiative "Five Seas and Lake Baikal". It will encompass the shorelines of Derbent, Karabudakhkent, Kayakent and Magaramkent municipal districts within the republic.
This project aims to enhance a 6.5-kilometer coastal segment by constructing a contemporary promenade, complemented by separate spaces for recreation and athletic activities. Furthermore, the initiative envisages the development of essential engineering and tourism infrastructure to facilitate the smooth operation of the resort.
