MAKHACHKALA, July 6 – RIA "Dagestan". Acting Head of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin has announced the construction of an unprecedented All-Russian Football Center in the republic. Designed to be a year-round training hub for local and regional teams, the facility will eventually host training camps for the Russian national football team.
The complex meets all modern standards and features six full-size pitches with complete infrastructure. However, Shchukin emphasized that its true value lies in its systematic approach, which includes training coaches and referees, as well as hosting seminars and master classes.
"Even the best pitches will not yield results without high-quality methodological support" – the regional governor stressed. The Russian Football Union (RFU) spearheads the project and has already laid several pitches. Meanwhile, the republic is responsible for landscaping the surrounding area, building access roads and providing additional amenities.
According to Shchukin, the rising popularity of football in Dagestan makes the creation of this center a crucial next step in the ongoing evolution and development of the sport in the region.
