MAKHACHKALA, September 29 – RIA "Dagestan". Acting Head of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin has recently met with Mekhriban Muslimova, the regional leader of the Committee of Families of Fatherland Defenders, to discuss new ways to support military families and promote patriotic education.

Muslimova, whose son Azim Muslimov was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for his heroism in the Special Military Operation, is a key architect of regional social support network. As the founder of the "Strength of Mothers" movement and the director of the "Strong in Spirit" documentary, she focuses on the sociological and emotional ties among SMO veterans and their families, actively developing patriotic projects.

The parties discussed new initiatives aimed at preserving intergenerational bonds and supporting the families of defenders. The next projects were presented: the "Children of Heroes" documentary film on the children of deceased and missing SMO participants (the script has been approved); the second part of the "Strong in Spirit" film dedicated to the mothers of soldiers fallen; the project "The Connecting Thread of the Peoples of Russia" aimed at preserving the historical memory of national unity through creative works; and the competition of messages to future generations from the children of SMO participants, titled "Time Capsule – Children".

Muslimova also suggested a new educational practice: screening films about the 1941–1945 Great Patriotic War in schools and colleges during the nationwide "Conversations About Important Things" extracurricular classes.

Shchukin voiced his full support for these initiatives. He noted that preserving historical memory and nurturing patriotism among the youth are vital tasks for both Dagestan and Russia as a whole, pledging that the government's work in this area would only intensify.
