MAKHACHKALA, March 29 – RIA Dagestan. At a gathering of the Regional Operational Headquarters, Sergei Melikov, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan, underscored the need to develop new technical approaches and a comprehensive strategy for rehabilitating the republic's bridge infrastructure.
The current state of bridge crossings across the region remains particularly challenging. Damaged structures have been identified in Derbentsky and Suleiman-Stalsky Districts, as well as in Khasavyurt. Establishing targeted support measures to address these circumstances is a priority, the regional leader noted.
Melikov emphasized that this undertaking represents a significant financial commitment, requiring innovative engineering solutions and a special, long-term program. "New construction techniques are vital" he stated, highlighting the importance of modern approaches to ensure the durability and safety of restored infrastructure.
