MAKHACHKALA, June 2 – RIA Dagestan. A proposal to allocate RUB 2 billion to Dagestan for the repair of educational facilities damaged by floods will be submitted to the Russian Government, RIA Novosti reports, citing Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov.
The minister, speaking at a meeting in Makhachkala, said the matter would be brought before the Government tomorrow and emphasized the need to complete all restoration work on time and to a high-quality standard.
Dagestan's Prime Minister Magomed Ramazanov reported at the meeting that 130 educational institutions were affected by the severe flooding, with 36 facilities sustaining the most significant damage. Six schools and one kindergarten were found to be completely unfit for further operation.
