MAKHACHKALA, April 16 – RIA Dagestan. The Government of the Russian Federation has updated the national register of mono-industrial towns. Kaspiysk and Dagestanskie Ogni have not only retained their status but also confirmed the effectiveness of support measures implemented in these municipalities.
Thanks to special economic regimes and reduced tax burdens, unemployment in these cities has dropped to minimal levels - Kaspiysk: 0.2% and Dagestanskie Ogni: 0.8%.
As to Gadzhi Sultanov, Minister of Economy and Territorial Development of Dagestan, the resident status within a Territory of Advanced Development opens significant opportunities for entrepreneurs, ranging from reduced tax rates to substantially lower contributions to extra-budgetary funds.
"These preferences enable mono-industrial towns to attract new investments and create jobs," the Minister noted.
