MAKHACHKALA, March 11 – RIA "Dagestan". The Republican Scientific-Practical Conference "Development of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Republic of Dagestan: Innovative Approaches and Personnel Provision" has opened at Dagestan State University of National Economy.
The event brought together government officials, legislators, scientists, agricultural specialists, educators, producers and students to address critical issues including workforce training, adoption of innovative technologies, crop and livestock production, logistics infrastructure, export potential, food security as well as sustainable development of mountainous territories.
During the plenary session, Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov highlighted Dagestan's strong macroeconomic performance, noting that the republic's gross regional product reached a historic milestone of RUB 1.3 trillion in 2025. The top official emphasized that overall growth exceeded 3%, with certain sectors achieving expansion of up to 20%.
The conference is expected to finish with a formal resolution containing strategic recommendations for the regional government aimed at further strengthening regional agro-industrial sector.
