Dagestan has taken the eighth position among the regions of Russia and the first place in the North Caucasian Federal District by the number of applications for the main educational award of the country «Knowledge.Award - 2025». This year, the event gathered 18,730 entries from 89 regions and 40 countries, Maxim Dreval, CEO of the Russian society "Znanie" says.
A total of 363 teachers from Dagestan compete for the award in various categories, including contributions to preserving historical memory, excellence in educational activities within educational institutions and protecting traditional values. One notable example is the "Legacy of Heroes" project by the "Power of Mothers" community, which cleverly combines photographs of World War II veterans with details of their experiences during the war. Additionally, Svetlana Borzova, the Russian language teacher, has been nominated for her innovative teaching methods.
The current anniversary of the «Knowledge Award» welcomes participants ranging in age from 12 to 88, including educators and educational institutions. Notably, this year applications were submitted by citizens of fifteen countries, representing a significant expansion of the award's global reach.
The winners of the competition will be announced in 2026. Besides, for the first time, regional award ceremonies under the «Knowledge Award» title will take place. During this anniversary season, recipients will receive distinctive award cubes as a token of recognition for their achievements.
