MAKHACHKALA, March 27 – RIA Dagestan. The Republic of Dagestan has been selected as one of ten host regions for the All-Russian Educational Marathon "Znanie.First" (Knowledge.First), scheduled to take place from April 28 to 30 in cities across the Russian Federation, including Moscow, Tver, Makhachkala, Nizhny Novgorod, Novy Urengoy, Barnaul, Yakutsk, Naryan-Mar, Donetsk People's Republic and Astrakhan.
The marathon is timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and precedes the Day of Indigenous Small-Numbered Peoples of the Russian Federation. The program features presentations by more than 100 lecturers—including statesmen, scientists, Heroes of Russia and athletes—addressing an audience of over 17,000 young participants.
As to Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Znanie Society, the marathon aims to foster a sense of shared identity among participants and to reaffirm that the strength of the country lies in its unity.
Registration for in-person participation remains open until April 14. Online broadcasts will be available via the organization's official website and its VKontakte social media group. The marathon has been held annually since 2021; over the past five years, ten editions of the event have been conducted, comprising more than 1,600 educational sessions.
