DSU and St. Petersburg Polytechnic University to Strengthen Cooperation in Physics and Mathematics Education

MAKHACHKALA, June 18 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestan State University and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University have initiated talks to deepen their academic partnership, joined by Dagestan's Acting Minister of Education and Science, Yakha Buchaev. The agenda highlighted the strengthening of cooperative teaching in essential physics and mathematics subjects, alongside the expansion of shared networked degree initiatives.

The parties also discussed the introduction of remote laboratory technologies in physics. DSU Rector Murtazali Rabadanov emphasized the strategic importance of physics and mathematics education for the university. He noted the growing interest of applicants and the creation of new engineering and technical training programs.

SPbPU representatives presented the "University Squared" project aimed at developing networking between universities, schools, and regional educational systems. They also demonstrated the capabilities of a system for remote access to laboratory equipment.

The discussion covered the combination of full-scale experiments, remote technologies, and computer modeling with virtual reality in modern physics teaching. The parties agreed to develop advanced training programs for physics and mathematics teachers and to involve students in joint research projects. Both universities expressed readiness to extend their cooperation agreement and launch joint educational programs.
