MAKHACHKALA, September 27 – RIA Dagestan. Makhachkala has set a new Russian record and simultaneously surpassed the previous world record for the largest mass jump rope workout among women.
The record was set on City Day, as the capital celebrated its 169th anniversary today. A total of 1,018 participants gathered on the main square of Dagestani capital—ranging from the youngest girls to the oldest a 72-years-old participant. They all simultaneously took part in a two-minute jump rope workout.
The previous world record was set on March 23, 2018, in Mumbai, India, where 365 women participated in a mass jump rope exercise.
The official registration and confirmation of both the Russian and world records were conducted by Alexey Svistunov, Editor-in-Chief of the "Book of Records of Russia" and President of PARI Agency LLC, who traveled to Makhachkala specifically for the event.
Following the official registration of the record, Svistunov presented the certificate to Makhachkala Mayor Dzhamulat Salavov, congratulating him on the achievement and the residents of the Dagestani capital on Makhachkala's 169th anniversary.
