MAKHACHKALA, March 10 – RIA "Dagestan". On March 10, Chairman of the Government of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov attended the official presentation of the North Caucasian Peoples' Friendship University in Makhachkala. The university, now in its second academic year, comprises five faculties, five departments and the International Institute of Integrative Medicine, with 136 full-time students enrolled in dentistry, pharmacy and clinical psychology programs.
During his visit, the Prime Minister inspected modern educational facilities, including a dental training laboratory equipped with professional simulators and a "Pirogov" interactive anatomical table for digital study of human anatomy. The campus also features memorial stands dedicated to prominent Dagestani figures—to support patriotic education. The university has established practical training partnerships with more than 20 medical institutions in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk.
Rector Tavlu Kazakbiev highlighted strong labor market demand for graduates of the university's affiliated college, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. Plans are underway to expand the International Institute of Integrative Medicine with 10 specialized departments. Abdulmuslimov expressed confidence that the institution will become a key center for training highly qualified specialists for Dagestan and Russia.
