MAKHACHKALA, August 10 – RIA Dagestan. More than 300 individuals participated in street debates held in Makhachkala on National Sports Day to examine whether physical strength or intellect holds greater value.
The discussion featured Magomed Magomedaliev defending physical conditioning as essential for decision-making and endurance against Makasharip Ibragimov’s case for intellectual prioritization.
Under the moderation of Magomed Magomedov, both presenters offered well-substantiated arguments and responded to counterpoints in a public forum. Spectators and participants determined that holistic development required integrating both physical and cognitive training.
Shevket Krumov emphasized that such interactive formats break down traditional barriers to education and foster honest dialogue among young people.
This event preceded the upcoming September 1 launch of “Znanie.Sport” a federal initiative encouraging educational institutions to establish registered sports clubs.
