MAKHACHKALA, June 24 – RIA "Dagestan". Young individuals from Dagestan can apply for the third "SHUM" All-Russian Youth Award in media and journalism. According to the press office of the regional Youth Affairs Ministry, the event helps young media talents display their work nationally, build a wider audience and win financial support.
This year, the organizers have introduced several innovations. Foreign media specialists who create content about Russia are now eligible to participate. For the first time, a special age category has been introduced for the youngest media makers — from 8 to 13 years old.
There will also be a special regional nomination for the title of the most media-active constituent entity of the Russian Federation. Additionally, the "SHUM" award will conduct three blog tours across Russia.
Participants who pass the competitive selection will travel to Arkhangelsk oblast and several other regions of the country, which will be announced later. Applications are being accepted until August 17 on the website premiyashum.ru.
