PYATIGORSK, February 25 – RIA "Dagestan". Shevket Krumov, Director of Dagestan branch of the Russian Society "Znanie" has unveiled a series of educational initiatives in the republic aligned with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
The flagship project "Russian Caucasus", will feature a series of forums examining historical and cultural ties between the Caucasus region and the Russian Empire. Additional programs include "Voice of Ancestors" which will bring together young people and public figures for open-format discussions; "Znanie-Workshop" offering master classes in traditional folk crafts to support cultural heritage preservation; and a sports forum organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Dagestan.
The latter event will feature Olympic champions and focus on themes of patriotism and interethnic cooperation. Krumov expressed hope that prominent athletes from Dagestan will actively participate in the society's educational outreach efforts.
