MAKHACHKALA, March 2 – RIA "Dagestan". During the first 10 days of Ramadan (February 18–27), users of the Tooba app donated over RUB 53.6 million to charitable causes, completing more than 160 fundraisers through 220,000 transactions made by 30,000 donors.
These contributions were part of the “Kindest Month” campaign, aligned with the start of Ramadan, and will continue until March 19, supporting initiatives such as aid for the needy and sick, iftars and zakat al-fitr payments.
This year, the campaign spans eight regions of Russia, funding food packages, clothing, rent for children’s centers and low-income families as well as holiday events for children—while a new app update introduces a rating system, achievements and an enhanced interface to encourage friendly competition in charitable giving during Ramadan.
