The "Zoo Guide to Dagestan" educational initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Zoology and Physiology at Dagestan State University, has successfully came to an end with a final event hosted at the university's Botanical Garden. The project trained sixty individuals who are now qualified to provide expert commentary on the region's distinctive flora and fauna.
The program encompassed theoretical lectures, practical exercises, and crucial field trips, enabling participants to gain both theoretical knowledge and firsthand experience of Dagestan's biological diversity.
The final day featured interactive sessions, including an ecological quest and a quiz focused on regional biodiversity, showcasing the participants' comprehensive understanding of the material. Upon completion of the training, all participants received certifications from the Agama regional public organization.
This project has not only enhanced the professional capabilities of the guides but also fostered awareness regarding the importance of safeguarding Dagestan's fragile and unique natural environment for the next generations.
