MAKHACHKALA, June 30 – RIA "Dagestan". Rising Dagestani boxer Cheerav Ashalaev is scheduled to fight Belarusian Mikhail Dolgolevets on July 10 at the "IBA. MELBET. Night of Champions" in Baku. The eight-round super middleweight bout features the 24-year-old Ashalaev, whose credentials include a European Under-22 Championship title and prize-winning performances at the 2025 Russian Championship and Russian Cup.
He last fought in January at the "IBA.PRO 14" tournament in Moscow, securing a unanimous decision win over Artysh Lopsan. Building on his two victories in the IBA.PRO series, Ashalaev also recently helped the "Leningrad" team win the "Victory Cup" in June.
His opponent, 36-year-old Mikhail Dolgolevets, is a participant in the 2016 Olympic Games and has seven wins in seven professional bouts, all of which he finished by knockout. The Belarusian boxer fought his last official bout in December 2025.
The "IBA. MELBET. Night of Champions" tournament will be held under the auspices of the International Boxing Association (IBA) with support of the organization's president Umar Kremlev and the Boxing Federation of Azerbaijan.
