MAKHACHKALA, July 7 – RIA "Dagestan". On July 19 Makhachkala will host the open mini-football tournament "Journalists' Brotherhood Cup". The tournament serves a dual purpose: paying tribute to journalists who played a major role in developing the industry and marking the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The matches are scheduled to be played on the pitches of the Republican Children's and Youth Sports School managed by the regional Ministry of Education and Science.
The tournament, scheduled to commence at 4:00 PM, is open to teams consisting of personnel from print and digital media, television and radio stations, news agencies and governmental press services. The organization of the sporting event is a joint initiative involving the Directorate of Information Policy and Press Service of the Head of the Republic of Dagestan, the Republican Children's and Youth Sports School and the Regional Management Center of Dagestan.
