Furthermore, the state support for horticulture in Dagestan will be increased by 9.4% in 2024, the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports. According to the Ministry, this year 500 million rubles will be allocated for horticulture development in the republic, while in 2023 the target funds amounted to 457 million rubles.

"Due to the increase of state support in 2024, the region intends to plant new orchards on an area of 900 hectares," the ministry official says.
