The Famsun Group, a Chinese conglomerate, is set to complete the construction of a state-of-the-art grain terminal in Makhachkala International Commercial Port by 2028. The terminal will have an annual capacity of 1.5 million tons and a maximum storage capacity of up to 100,000 tons. The design process for this terminal is currently in progress.

Currently, the port of Makhachkala handles a grain capacity of 500,000 tons annually. The financial details of this project have not been disclosed at this time.
