The regional authorities decided to quadruple funding for poultry farming in 2024 from the republican budget compared to 2023 - from 5 million to 20 million rubles. The government officials believe that the increase in the volume of support will stimulate investment activity in this area and stabilize the prices. Besides, several poultry farms will be put into operation in the next 2 years. The total need among the regional residents is more than 830 million eggs. For present, the self-sufficiency level in the region is only 30%.
