Dagestan becomes ideal year-round resort in North Caucasian Federal District

The total number of tourist trips for the year has increased by more than 1.5 times, which is more than twice the average Russian growth rate. Dagestan is expected to lead in terms of tourist flow growth in the North Caucasian Federal District again. Additionally, the region has the second airport on the sea coast, after Sochi, located in Makhachkala near the Caspian Sea.

Experts consider Dagestan a unique destination for year-round tourism due to the absence of open airports on warm seas in other European parts of Russia. The hotel construction is currently more active in Dagestan, which is expected to lead to a significant increase in visitors. The tourist flow in Dagestan is expected to increase by 20-25% or more each year.
