Two investment projects in trout farming will soon be implemented in Dagestan. The republican authorities will render assistance to the project on creation of a network of trout farms in the region.

The companies Immid Aquaculture and Rost Aqua intend to invest not only in fish production, but also in its processing, the republican Fishery Committee reports.

As to the Committee official Khadijat Shamkhalova, "Immid Aquaculture" will construct trout farm in the Irganay reservoir. Earlier, the company intended to launch the farm in the Chirkeyskoye reservoir, but the local residents opposed the project, considering that it could negatively affect the environment. The volume of investments in the launch of production have not yet been announced.

The “Rost Aqua” company intends to invest about 1.75 billion rubles in the trout farm construction too. The first stage of the project will be finished in the summer of 2024. The second stage will be completed closer to 2028. It is planned to produce up to 7 thousand tons of trout per year.
